Of being spoiled by famly,Chippy Finfeathers, teddygram dog, awesome hubby, hairdie dye, and healing.

Hey :), Have some coffee, and

meet Chippy Finfeathers--(stock photo- not mine)

Maybe I should have him write this entry because I "talk for chippy" more than myself lately. He might have a better idea whats going on with Rory than I .

- OH, but by the way, I am not allowed to call him Finfeathers. That is a nickname Rory calls him his name is Chippy, so I am told.-

On Saturday,- after a rough start of the dog getting out the fence while i had my back turned and Rian chasing her down-
Rory and I went out with Mom and my sisters.. Rory was not ready to get up - even though it was late in the afternoon. It took her a long time to wake up. We met up with Steph(my sorta adopted sis- the ole neighbor girl) to bring her a birthday present, chat about Lissy's babyshower- plus ,Steph had a gift for Rory, a SUPER cute pink party dress( that Rory is head over heals in love with.). Steph took us on a quick trip a few blocks down to show us the house she is in the process of buying. We waved bye to Steph.

- Then, we went to pizzahut at sleepy Rory's request for food.Yum.Fun stuff chatting at pizza hut, and Rory was so cute, she sat next to us in on of those little single tables, pretending to be big... the waitress even played along and let her order her own drink.

I failed to get any pics..- not even of Rory cuteness or Lissy largeness, and its a damn shame :( . Amy got a few , I will hafta borrow her memory card and upload them.

-On to wallyworld- where mom spoiled us, and Lissy spoiled Rory with junkfood.
..also where we met "Chippy". Who was in the toy aisle, and Lissy thought she could just hand to Rory and talk her into a cookies or candy trade later. I warned otherwise..
It was obvious when he had a name there would be no separating them. I told her it was an early birthday present, from Grandada. - On the bright side, while looking for a picture I discovered this particular LittlestPetShop VIP typically goes for DOUBLE the price mom paid for it. At least LPS toys are very cheap down here. Rory had a blast in wally world with my sisters- being super cute.Mom bought us each a hair dye, and we laughed at the one of each drastically different color for each daughter.

We dropped Lissy off and went to Moms house for a little while. Had mac and cheese- watched CSI(Miami- but you know, I realized I had NEVER actually watched an episode of CSI!), and JJ drove us home in the freaky bright moonlight.

I was beyond exhausted when Ri got home- I was still really sore from the roadrash doggy walking incident.. and just exhausted. I dunno when we went to sleep or what that night. For some reason I think it was slightly different than our typical 6 am zombie mornings crawling to bed because we were both well worn out.

-- Sunday ,I resumed tackling house work, - except now partially fueled to reorganize Rory's room because an old friend had contacted me on myspace (about Lissys babyshower) and said she might come over with the kids Monday...

Rory played around the house munching on junk( and fruit at least).. and being followed by the dog

Noobs is in love with the Teddy grams.. Obsessively begging for them even. Mom's dog did the same thing when we were at her house... There is something magical about teddy grams to dogs.

Rory stayed up very late Sunday- Monday morning - had me stressed ,and up till dawn.Ri was in a good mood that night though. He had got off a bit early from Cowboys and felt like Monday would be his day off- even though he had to pick up a shift at the taco place. He made us Wheatmeat buffalo wings, and sweet taters- he also made spinach, but the plate broke and it was ruined :( .

-Christie( the old friend I mentioned above) and her children didn't end up coming Monday because of the weather. So we just kicked around the house in the super nasty weather. Rory undetachable from Chippy... and taking my computer any chance she got,to play the online game he comes with.

I also distracted her a few times while I cleaned and stuff by handing her some of these stickers I got from Peta2- for kids...... and another with a more disturbing bloody set..
for fucks sake! Peta sends these to children- the meat is murder pic is disturbing.. plus she also got some kfc cruelty with the bloody pic of a chicken. I gave her a couple that I didn't deem tooo offensive to my little non-reader. I do like the frog one,and Rory likes the pig.

Ri got off early ( they closed early because of the weather slowing up business). He brought us home yummy food from his work.
He brought me a fish soft taco(blackened mahi mahi)- which was surprisingly good- despite the hint of fishy aftertaste.whoa. I ate fish. weird.

Then, I had Ri cut my hair so I could dye it.It is really depressing. I have him trim off my dead hair as often as possible. I try for monthly.. you can see how much is dead and he only takes as much as he has too- but ugh, every time I cry a bit. For every inch that grows another is cut.My hair won't get longer than right above my breast - sigh.
It took forever to dry... then I dyed it dark brown.

I wanted it close to black, and feared it would be too black.. Until I saw it, now I fear it is too dark HA!
It is pretty, soft and healthy looking.. just short.

Ri made us blueberry pancakes and hash browns for dinner- that we ate loads of. He went to bed before me- I ended up crashing on the couch with Rory at 6 am.. and waking up at 10 am to Ri's phone ringing. His taco stand boss calling to say , with the extra yucky rainy weather he was going to close early. Sooo Ri had the day off! :)

I went back( if you can call that nap I had sleeping) to bed, and Ri woke up.. he let me sleep in most the day. It was soo nice!!
I woke up to the sound of rain, all comfy in bed.. late in the afternoon. Rory had been fed, and Ri was making a yummy soup to munch on.

We coaxed Rory into a bath - and she came out and crashed... it wasn't even 9 oclock and she slept for a long time.We even went and laid in bed ourselves knowing we should..

...So , of course she is awake now, at 4:30 am. Bouncing off the walls. Playing with Chippy and making cards with the marker sticker LPS craft set Ri's mom got her for Xmas.
Ri has to work BOTH of his jobs tomorrow-or um, later today(AND Thursday) , and Christie may ,or may not, come over.

On to what you want to see----

It was soo nasty and sore last night. See how the skin is getting tight around it? hurts.
I scrubbed it and bandaged it before bed, that helped.

big yellow scabby knee. --- yeah, gross, I need to shave, but - DUDE, would you try to shave around that?? I thought not.
Well,At least it is "wintertime".

Well, I am outta here.. Maybe Chippy can talk Rory into laying down.

Sleep Deprivation, Dog walking FAILURE, overworked hubby ,and a too big kid.

Hey :)
So , I HAVE been chatty, insomniatic, and a bit extra obsessive( - woot my kitchen and bathroom are freakin' spotless-)
..and yet, I haven't really blogged the past few days ,like I should have. Sorry about that-

Monday was Ri's only full day off between his two current jobs. We did some grocery shopping and he baked bread, and such.
-I was having a terrible short tempered self loathing "nothing fits ,everything sux" sort of hormonal day- but we made it through wally world and survived the trip.Getting a little bit and surprising ourselves with how little we buy now that we MAkE so many things! Rory was fussy, but pretty behaved in the store :) . --- Our schedule got thrown back into the total hell of nightshiftium. Rory apparently naturally functions better waking in the afternoon.. I am an early bird and suck at trying to go to bed when I should be waking up. -pout- She has been sleeping fine, but it has thrown me off greatly, in too many ways, namely that I probably only sleep a few hours a night.

Lissy called me to tell me Steph is doing her baby shower- which is a great weight of my shoulders, now I am just excited to go- WoooT

Tuesday , Ri had to work in the afternoon- well ,closing shift at his new job, but it is much earlier than his regular job.
I had stayed up all night, and pretty much didn't sleep at all after everyone else crashed.
I was a bit grumpy, because I had planned to take the dog for a walk ,but a nasty rolled in --and thought it was 'sposed to be "warm and sunny still" , it was a thick wet fog (until Ri left and then it was nice )
.. I just started doing dishes, and cleaning the kitchen . I spent the rest of the day getting it and the living room spotless. My big kid played and helped out a lot. Though there were tantrums...

Rory-big as ever- found so many ways to occupy herself like a big kid! While I went nutso on some scrubbing(or whatever). When I mopped the floor Rory spent the entire hour playing with play-doh... DUDE! Play-doh is my savior!
That, and her little pets. She comes up with the most imaginative silly games- and creates such neat things to add to her little pet games(like a see-saw with a rectangle block & a triangle block, and a marry-go-round with an old spinning wheel on a baby toy) !LOVE IT!
- She has also been shocking me doing her own lessons on counting, and letters, and learning games.. she makes up on the fly... and how much she knows about numbers and letters.crazy!

Some pics of the fog- it was pretending it was winter out, despite the temp..

LOL...That's Florida, record high heat, fog... keep that in mind, folks.

After my day of cleaning,
I sat down for new tv- SCRUBS!!!-squeeee-
Ri came home with YUMMY food from his new job... soft tacos with baja sauce, yum!and quesadillas for Rory. He says the locals call the owner "the taco nazi" and the guy has strict rules about no substitutions.. pretty funny.
He seems to really enjoy working there. Tuesday was the first day he did the job on his own, and he seemed to really like it :)
- another night of me being up later than anyone. ..

Wednesday- Roaring winds shook the house and brought the temp down- Finally bringing some resemblance of winter back. Also , blew my recycling around and , we think maybe even took out some more of the old fence.
Ri had to work that night, and Rory woke me from my bit of sleep - I spent most of the day cleaning and reorganizing the bathroom.. while Rory joyfully moved around all the toys I had carefully cleaned Tuesday.
I had been also working on trying to be more active,( through cleaning? )- and eat a bit less.
It was a total fail when Ri came home and after dinner , at three am- decided he would make us grilled cheese sandwiches with those spicy peppers I love- (to hate, I will eat them until I am sick)..
Noobiedog acted weird all night , begging for SOMETHING. She begged for a long time before Ri let her out. She ran straight out in the yard grabbed up an opossum, and brought it to Ri!! He said when she dropped it it was still breathing, and it was gone by morning.
SURELY it is not the same one,I mean it must have gotten sick of being grabbed up and shaken by the dog???

So-
another night of me up till dawn...

Instead of trying to go to bed ,I decided to get up ,dressed ,and head out with the dog.

In my state of sleep deprivation I for some dumb reason decide it would be a good idea to RUN with Noobie tied to my waist. I never really run with her- SHE PULLS -At best we work up to a fast jog...
WTH was I thinking??? DOG WALkING FAIL!
it was probably only three running steps before she jerked to the right- and BOOM

Scrapped my hands, bad -(which bled onto that white sweater). Busted the knee out of my fav dark denim (nice) jeans -and scraped that knee BAD,bruised the other... BUT my camera and phone survived, and the dog didn't manage to run of, I will give her credit ,she stopped and waited.
Yes, I will admit the 1st thing I did was vainly look around to see that no one saw me fall.

It happened right on the dead end we live on, not even far from our house- BUT, I decided (perhaps not realizing the extent of my injuries, or perhaps wearing my ovaries on the outside) to finish walking the dog- , she hasn't had a walk in so long- and I did need to burn off 3 am grilled cheese.

So, We walked on, my hands bleeding like a stigmatic while waving at all the old men on their morning walks. "Hi, I am a freak with a wolf. How are you?"

Cranes- dude. they are everywhere I go in town.

Noobie tried to pull some classic doggy act.
We usually do at least two circuits when Rory isn't with us, and Noobie was noticeably upset to be going home after just one, she actually pulled back on the leash when I headed home.. then while she was next to me she finally noticed my pain, and stopped to smell my roadrash knee... which was bleeding down my leg.

Pity me..
Ignore the messy compu desk, yes I scrubbed my kitchen and not that- shame.

Noobs did seem to feel bad, though that may still disappointment be from the short walk.
Sooo painful. The bruises will be epic in a few days.
I had wanted to come home and get ready for bed, instead I came home with wounds to clean, and far more hurt than I had realized.. swelling....
I spent the day feeling sicky- knowing exactly when my ibuprofen wore off, and VERY GROGGY I did get a seriously nice power nap in once my 1st round of ibuprofen kicked in.
Rory woke up and was disgusted by my boo-boos . Telling me NOT to touch her, or any of her things, with my "red hand".
For awhile this morn, the NOT bloody hand was the one that hurt MORE, and was more swollen.
(Now , they hurt the same though.. :( ) .
I bribed Rory to eat simple to prep healthy snacks with a few chocolate chips for rewards throughout the day.

Ri has to work in the morn, and I had meant to have dinner together for us when he came home ..but I was still yucky groggy sore when he got home., with fresh produce from the stand.

He made us a yummy dinner.. and poor overtired Rory tantrummed. Everyone is crashed now, and soon RI needs to get ready for work. So I am going to go watch bad tv at 5 am .and rest my bones pretending I know how to get to sleep at dawn.

PEACE AND TOFU CHICkEN GREASE

-- PS.
So today, I went to put on another shirt and noticed my shoulder was irritated, and suddenly realized why my arm and should muscles are so sore. I apperently went down on the point of my shoulder bone:

- the other stuff hurt so much stronger I didn't even notice.. I can't believe I didn't notice, but it does help explain to me my muscle pain and HOW I must have fell. Damn- close to my face, huh?

New year, new job, new pics, new rules- and some of the same stuff

HEY EVERYONE- or no one.. or who ever read this, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
-Ok , so I took a bit of a blogging break recouping from the holiday madness- when I left you with that HUGE holiday post Rory was dragging me out the door for a bike ride- I have pics...

She is awesome. Getting sooo big. It's weird too-seems like when you are walking a dog, and a bike riding kid down the street out here, the neighborhood becomes a freakishly freindly place. Everyone and there mom stops to encourage her, and wave as we pass.. when usually the best we get from our neighbors is a head nod.She is cute learning to ride tho, huh?

So , New Years was approahing and I was thinking resolutions... well, not really. I never stick with resolutions- who does? ...BUT, I had decided around xmas that alcohol was doing bad things to my body. My motabolism just doesn't like it, and I kept getting yeast infections- the only thing I could link them to was our weekly drinks. Sigh.So I decided I shouldn't drink anymore at all.It just happened that that decision came at the end of the year, and I figured it would be best to wait until after any New Years festivities(we had planned to go to Vals party) .
So, there you go a resolution.
Plus, Ri seems to want to cut out soda at home - and less when we go out. Going to go back to our rare shared bottle of Mexi coke(corn syrup free).-There were talks or cutting out the smoking black and milds that has gotten to be a bit heavy of a habit...but as of today(Jan 4) we have not.
I do want to get healthier.... more active but that is not so much a resolution as a need.

So - anyway(sorry I keep getting distracted trying to write this and I honestly and not sure I remember things in the proper order from the last week or so) ...
I do know Ri made burritos that night (after Rory went on a bike ride) - we stayed up WAY too late- Ri had started to get hours back and worked through the days the restaruant is usually closed..
He even woke us up by making us mexi food breakfast with the leftovers.

Me , and Rory haven't been doing much of anything hanging around the house. Our schedule got shot again, somehow and she has been staying up till 3 am- and I am not used to that.. So ,I end up awake till 6 am having trouble falling asleep, and then waking up before her in the afternoon :( .

I have been super stressed with her lately. Her tantruming, and whining has reached a new level along with her poor schedule, and her growth in other areas.
She is learning about letters and counting(money and addition) thanks to some activity books she got for XMAS- but I would trade it all, if she would learn some simple manners(which I swear she knew once!) instead.
I don't have the patience for her tantrums(which obviously doesn't help),... or patience for her acting like she can't speak- grunting and demanding things.
Even if she tempers it with being really cuddly and amazing me learning other things-
-- HELL, ESPECIALLY if she is learning other things. I have been getting far too frustrated that the child who wants me to teach her to count money, and write numbers all day can't verbalize what kind of drink she would like with lunch without a HUGE melt down, and rudeness about it.

UGH. I just need a break.
She happily let me brush her hair the other night-- as long as I put it up like Cindy Lo Who- in the Live action grinch movie- without a extention for the top this was the best I could do:

She liked it.

--
Besides being super into learning letters and numbers- she has been super crafty with her new things. Spending the rest of the day( that she is not playing with little pets in time with the music of her TV shows) coloring, or painting.

Sooo....
New Years Eve came with good news for the New year-
Lissy had a job offer for Ri , some extra work painting. RI just had to call the guy.

Also,I mentioned before that a freind of Ri's owned a bussiness and had wanted to expand, and to get him in with a good fulltime job at their place..we did not hear more from them, and started to think the chance/idea had passed...Well apperantly not, as they asked him to come in and start training on New years eve day.
Sort of sucked because we had planned to go to Vals party- and I knew Ri would NOT want to go out on New years after working that morn and night( and likely rushing to get home before the ball dropped).

Of course I had to get a new pic of Rory New Years Eve- Oh, and a video too:

Ri called after his training that morn, saying how great it was- It sounded like he had an awesome time.
It's not quite the same as the restraunt- it is a fish taco stand near the beach.- a whole different atmosphere.
I am really hopeing all works out as planned and they are able to get RI a fulltime job- and he keeps enjoing it.

At home new years eve- I could hear fireworks and music all night, and I thought we didn't have many nearby neighbors?? Rory and I took down the tree, hopeing to make space for her toys.

Ri made it home that night, JUST before the ball dropped- BARELY.Lit a few fireworks and had a few soda/rum drinks last of the year.
We had simple easy dinner and Ri pretty much just crashed - Thursday(New Years Day) was scheduled to be his ONLY day off at Cowboys that week, but he had another day of training in the morning.

I stayed up fairly late- even after Rory crashed, and we both woke up far too late.
Ri's Dad wanted to see us around dinner when Ri got off. So ,when he alled on his way home I hopped in the shower- giving Rory my camera to occupy her.

LOL . This is Rorys "crowded little pets house party" .
Ri came home smelling wonderfully of burritos instead of nasty seafood funk.

Rory picked out an outfit and let me do her hair the way she liked again.. to go see "NanaPop"

We did try to teach her that it is Nana - and Pop.

Roasting marshmellos with Nana.
-- and wathing tv with Pop.
We chatted snacked on greens.. - and they had some sweet late xmas gifts for Rory.
We had meant to make them a disc of photos and a few movies- but did not have the time with our hectic past week.
Stayed much longer than expected. I was trying to get Ri to go for quite awhile before we finally made it out the door with overstimulated tot in tow.

I thought we would never get her to bed that night... ugh. Our schedule is sooo crappy.
Mom& Dad came over for a sec, and brought us some gifts we'd left at GrammyGrapes-they didn't stay long, and Rory didn't even wake up! she was excited about ANOTHER present when she woke up ( some bubbles).

---So the past few days have been more of the same.
with more tv and late(or early morning) bedtime.

Ri working all the time. Not eating the best of food- we need grocries. last night, we didn't want to make anything so ri ran through wallyworld we ended up having tatertots, veggie dogs mac&cheesse and beans for dinner.-- but hey at least we didn't have soda with it.
Rory ate good, after being all bratty about dinner.

Today , I have barely moved from this spot. I need to clean and finish dinner.
Jade stopped in for a second - mostly hiding out from trouble - with his mom. And wanting RI to download him stuff but Ri was at work). He played with rory a little while- then I kicked him out before it got too dark for him to ride home.

-- I spent a lot of time screwing around with PHOTOSHOP.

Well...
I have some peas in the crockpot, and I guess, I should figure out what to make with them.-SIGH - and I guess clean, like everyday :( .

Ri is off tomorrow- finally YAY-
..and works Tuesday morning.
PEACE AND TOFU CHICkEN GREASE
