I could go for a good yawning cry, too

Somewhere in nowheresville Florida it is nearing 4 am ,
a 4 year old is yawning in between crying,
her mother is ignoring her typing away on a laptop(which is precariously balanced on a pillow on her lap because the heat from it was causing a hideous rash) .

I can't fix overtired.I wish I could because damn if I am not hallucinating.Although, tonight it is her overtired in place of my own. WHY did I not let her fall asleep at 8 pm like she wanted.. I guess because I didn't want a replay of the other night when she did that- woke up at midnight and stayed up past dawn.

---the crying is continuing all through the typing of this-----
Yawn ,cry , throw body around tantrum, yawn, call for me, cry, play for a second ,ask for something in an attempt to stay up , say the word "actually " four or five times ,
wash, rinse ,repeat.
She has been REALLY tantrumy lately.VERY disobedient and then crushed tantruming over time outs she gets for that... at least this tantrum is just from overtired, THIS as annoying as it is bothers me a lot less.

So ,yeah -There is that . I have been napping but not really sleeping. Between Rory's frequently changing schedule, my inability to find sleep after staying up past 3 am,and a really annoying seasonal allergy reaction that has me wanting to find a way to itch the inside of my head.
Still Rory watching very limited amount of tv , while I, on the other hand, watch mass quantities of internet crap throughout my zombiefied cleaning routine.
She HAS watched and thoroughly enjoyed Dr.Horrible's Sing-A-long blog( I may find time for a vid post on that later.)

Sometime this week Ri's buddy from up north came down for sprng break.Ri has spent sometime hanging with him and another freind Tristan, the last few days when he isn't working including much of his day off thursday. Which is cool, I like that he gets to go out and hang with his freinds. I miss him a little though.

So anyway,
I could barely tell you what day was what - I will be lucky if any of this is coherent- but, sometime in the last few sleepless days I was up alone at dawn and decided to walk Noobs a couple circuits around the 'hood- I am pretty sure it was the wee hours of st.paddys day,I wore and obnoxiously green and blue shirt

One of the neighbors houses burnt down, which was shocking, because I have heard nothing about it.. I didn't see any local news coverage of it. (News coverage in my area is ,very understandably ,bogged down with coverage of the local 5 yr old Heleigh Cummings)
---but wow.
The whole place was charred up, I WANTED to take more pictures but I was being stared down by children and their parental units at the bus stop. I was trying to be a little less noticably creepy.

I was working with Noobie to practice better leash manners. Which included a lot of stoping, turning around, changing directions, hand motions, and yes lots of talking to my dog as if she was an adult human... I probably failed the "not looking creepy" attempt.

Noobie found roosters.

MOST of the houses on my street are emptying out.. but this one has been empty the longest. Everyone we know wanted it at some point or another and asked the realator about it..the realtor bought it crazy dirt cheap, it has problems and she isn't really selling.

I wore the dog out, but she IS getting better on the leash. As long as we keep it up. UGH, surely it will start raining or something and a few days will wash away all that hard work.

Rory woke up fairly late and happily picked out green clothes st. paddys day. She was upset there was no parade, bummer. Just another lazy day around the house.
Then, she was MORE upset when the sunset before she could take a bike ride I explained she could go bright and early the next day. BUT it was another early day off for Ri - nice to have him make dinner, even if allegies, caffine and sleeplessness had me not enjoing it to the fullest.

... she took me a little too seriously and woke up as Ri left for work at 8 am(giving me a second night with about two hours of sleep if you are keeping track). She wanted to just jump on her bike in her pjs . I managed to talk her into picking out an outfit and hairdo, and breakfast to give her fuel. She picked honey mangoes and toast.
She wanted to carry her pinwheel - she was thrilled when I fit it on her bike

Noobie was doing really great walking- on the way back at least-especially after realizing that acting up on leash that day could get her poor paws run over by a training wheel.

Rory had more fun riding than at the park!

Yeah, at this point I spent the day hallucinatingly sleepy. Around 9 she passed out - considering her early rising i figured she would stay out and rushed to lay in bed ,sleep or no,with my ringing itchy head.

Nope she was up at midnight. With Ri making us dinner.
Once I FINALLY did crashed that night I got to sleep in- Ri's day off he let me sleep in WAY late! :) Then took Rory on a quick trip to the store to get stamps- and a few little things, mostly just to take her.
He had asked her the night before what she wanted to do on his day off and she wanted to go visit someone .(one of the grammys or aunts) and he had agreed to go visit his buddies that night and didn't want to take her to visit anyone, so she agreed to go shopping instead.

Jade(Ri's 13 yr old nephew) came over the second Ri left. He wanted to know if Ri had a memory card for a psp.Ri might be abl to help him get stuff for that, but he wasn't here. Yet, Jade hung out and spent a ridicoulus amount of time here, most of which was spent playing with Rory's toys -by himself for awhile even( Rory was being lazy fighting a nap n the livingroom). He left when his mom called and told him to come home. She told me she thought he was going to a freinds house, not here- and that she think he was just hanging out here to get some time away from his younger siblings.(probably).

Ri came home later than he intended, bearing reece eggs . He made us french bread pizza for dinner and chatted for a little bit before he fell asleep sitting upright ,and I sent him to bed.

Lissy posted earlier that she is laboring more- wonder f I will get picked up for that tommorow, better grab Rory's carseat.

Well... Rory has finally passed out hogging the pillow on my lap, and this lean is getting uncomfortable.
Night folks.

-- oh yeah, I made this playing photoshop.. I know it isn't summer but it feels like it

You can stop and smell the flowers, but you can't sleep here

Ahhhhhhh!!! I am soo procrastinating typing this, and as I do the list of "crap to blog about" gets longer and longer.
SOOO
Hereeeee goes-
I know it has been a few too many days. No new shocking news, a lot of the same. Spring is here, sprouting out all over giving Rory a mild little irritation every time she gets near the plant life, and bringing some HEAT.

Overtired fussy sleepless child has been a challenge, along with the realization that my (and ri's ) black&mild smoking habit has become too expensive ,and too bad a habit and we (ri and I ) have been quitting,- AND the stress upon realizing how close Rory is to kindy age and we DO NOT want her to go to THIS failing school district ugh ugh ugh. Stressful hooray .

Well ,despite it all we've had some nice times.
Tuesday we took in some of that nice sunshine

After lounging around in the sun and the kiddie pool I talked Rory into a bike ride
Saw an odd kitty enjoying the sunshine in a big empty feild

neighbors Azaleas look gorgeous

That nice day turned sour when my stomach spent the night flipping upside down.. maybe more inside out. For future reference:
coffee + xylitol sweetener + aunt flow= a really really powerful laxative.

On the bright side Rory DID sleep that night and so did I, a whole 12 hours even.
Oh sleep , my long lost friend. I love you when I find you. ..

Wednesday- and most everyday this week, has been blissfully TV free for Rory... but shockingly TV filled for me. I have caught up with soo many tv show addictions with the interenet.- but DUDE hey,I am able to clean the kitchen, do laundry-whatever- while the laptop plays hours of mindnumbing pauseable tv, and Rory fills the living/dining room with Little pet toys and creative games she comes up with.

I braved making cooking all those different squashes and gourds Ri had brought home- threw them and the aging sweet potatoes in the crock pot, and made a really yummy soup.

...though it seemed sort of wrong to have soup on such a HOT night.

Rory took this pic of her toys cuddling her new kitty
She also built a big duplo block doggy day care.

Ri was off Thursday -We thought about going to the Jax Zoo but were both too tired, and lazy. Rory, again, was up all night :( , and Ri was just exhausted from working alll week
We decided to take a nature walk at ravine gardens instead.

Noobie had fun- and got FILTHY!
We forgot to pick up a bottle of water(or bring a cup)-then, they were sold out of water in the machine -crap- . We grabbed a plastic bottle out of the car and made it part of our adventure..which may have been a mistake as we halfway got lost twisting through trails ,LOL
whoa , the azaleas are really in bloom!

Fairy houses?
We finally made it to the playground, which is the stop after the water fountain - I left Ri and Rory and took Noobs on a run for water.I expected to have to run back with water for them, but turned around to Rory all red after running SOOO FAST with Ri all the way to me. Aww she is soo big.

-though that meant I had to carry her the rest of the way..

Rory took these pics

From my shoulders..

I took this one

Rory BEGGED for red juice - she had seen the ad for it on the machine when we tried to get water, so we got her some before we headed out.
And, somehow Ri talked the filthy wet dog into the riding in the back home

I love the peek-a-boo doggie.

We left dinner plans up to Rory , she decided we would have PIZZA. Yum :)
She was tuckered out pretty early from all that.
She tried to fight sleep soo hard , her little head was bouncing up and down...but then I laid her down and her eyes popped open and she was up all night.
I do not think I could have been more grumpy and irritable...grrr.
I am not sure when we ever got to sleep Friday, I spent most of the day completely zombiefied, and grumpy.
Rory was overtired why machine the whole day..didn't help.

Somehow, Ri found the energy to wake up and give the dog a much needed bath on Saturday.Which means there is a trail of fluff through the house ,a vacuum bag full of what could probably knit a large sweater, and a very fuzzy dog in my house.

Then,Nana& Pop stopped in to visit. They brought Rory a few nice things and chatted a little before Ri went to work.
Rory spent the day painting with the set Nana had brought her.We also went outside and picked orange blossoms, there aren't many yet this year, but they smell amazing... the only thing those poor old trees are good for, I hope they bloom A LOT more so I can make a bunch of essental oil this year .
I spent most the day uploading pics on myspace, speaking of, it seems like everyone is catching up with me there lately. -hey strangers- it is nice to get contact with a few people. i need to stay in better contact with them though, forgive me for that I am terrible at keeping in touch.bad, I am sorry..
I made mannicotti for dinner, turned out awesome. Rory even grubbed. Though having girl scout cookies and ice cream to bribe her with may have been a factor.

Rory unfortuantly stayed up far too late.... uh, then she did fall asleep and tried to lay down with Ri,only for my itchy noise sensitive ears to bother me too much, and him to suddenly begin to snorem WTF? since when does he snore? It was only unbarable because my ears have been so yucky feeling. I hope I am not getting sick.

Today, despite my sleepy zombie state I cleaned..still trying to get dog fuzz off of everything. How does she shed soo much after a bath?
Sort of surprised we didn't end up going anywhere during the weekend...and waiting on Lissy to go into labor.
I noticed water spraying outside, it looked like the AT&T building had a sprinkler on.. but it isn't a sprinkler- it is a big busted water main ,spraying into the road in front of my house. It is sunday so no one came in and I really did not know who,if anyone to call.. I probably should have called someone.Seems weird to make a service call to At&t for them to service their own substation LOL. I did see my neighbors stop and check it out, considering my neighbors consist mostly of meddling retired men if there was anything to do about it they probably did...but as it stand at 7 am that thing is still spraying.

Rory fell asleep REALLY early at 10 or so..I rushed to turn off all the lights and lay down myself, but mostly just layed there wishing I could sleep ,and not understanding that I couldn't.AHHHHH.. Until Rory (of course) woke up after midnight, bright eyed. -sigh-
On the bright side ,Ri came home with loads of groceries and made us a huge unhealthy fried foods and italian soysage sub dinner. yumm. Rory ate loads too and had ice cream dessert.

Well , good thing Ri only works at Nalus tomorow afternoon.

Well, it is 7 am - the trash just got picked up,
I have a childs teeth to polish..maybe there will be sleep, maybe not..
at least I can smell those orange blossoms

Cramps are keeping me from coming up with a clever title

...so imagine how thought out this blog post will be.

Not much to post-well ,no that isn't true maybe there is,but not much I actually feel like posting.
Too little sleep, and too much irritability
- what's that , I sound bitchy PMS, you say ? Nah, you wouldn't say such a thing you would know better than to talk smack to a nocturnal chick during shark week.

-wait, pause to yell for the child to turn music down. JEEEEZ she is only 4,RIGHT?!?!?

Well, ANYWAY,
I have been watching way, way, too much tv online while Rory makes a mockery of anything that once resembled organization in this house.
Lissy has visited a few times- once bringing me coffee with Boo, and today bringing me a gallon of milk and the last sticker for Rory's LPS collector koala.
On Lissy news- they decided to name the baby Nickolai (not sure on the spelling they are going with) Orion - CUTE huh?? so, may have influenced her a bit about not sticking with Nickolas Elijah , I am a name ruiner. She wanted to let Bo be more involved in picking the name- by just going with Nickolai (which she was going to call him) and letting Bo pick a middle name. ALSO, they FINALLY closed and moved into their house Yay- but it needs some work, and poor Lissy is a ways from being able to settle in and really nest, like you know anyone with only a few weeks to go wants.

Made a few yummy dinners this week-This one is worth mentioning , we had plans to make stir fry, but didn't realize we were out of soy sauce until we had all the veggies in the pan and the tofu dried out! Ri tried out the Thai green curry paste he bought and we had thai dinner instead.

SOOOOO good- and evil spicy. Rory had a plate without soy sauce.
OOOHH! Check out who found an apron shirt in the vintage baby clothes me and Lissy had went through the night before!! YES, she also found the famed purple apron. She is very content now she has three mini aprons to help cook in. She has been a great dinner helper- and eater. I think with all the food in her lately, and the sleep she gets(at irregular times) she will probably be 7ft tall sometime next week.
She liked her stir fry dinner, and makes weird faces when I take pics now....

I was soo stressed about the messy messy house- that I wasn't able to keep clean with Rory's constant mess making that Tuesday I stayed home to spend the entire day alone cleaning , and sent Ri to the store with Rory . I reorganized the entire livingroom. Putting her little pet playsets ALL in her room, and FINALLY finding my tables underneath the piles of crafts all over them.I put all the craft stuff together in the living room..but it didn't last long. She DID,however, start playing with her toys in ehr room so that is pretty cool.

We have been eating a lot of sandwhiches this week too. Ri bought cheese and raided the discount bread section, and Rory has even ate sandwhiches, told ya she is seriously easting is she is eating entire meals where foods are even touching and such.

Thursday was Ri's other day off this week.. he made it his goal to give me a great day(I did mention I was sleepless ,depressive ,irritable pms wreck- yeah, well you can't fault him for trying to help). He let me sleep in, which I really needed. He fixed the tub/shower switch which has been stuck halfway for damn near a year,(it required him buying a tbar thingy to turn of the water on tuesday), and he ordered all the " hooray for FLA pest control" crap we needed... but I was still sort of grumpy, and grumpy I was grumpy- and just depressive.

Rory spent Thursday morning coloring and decided she needed to take a picture she finished to one of her grammys - We decided to go to Rians moms and make her dinner..

Rory colored MORE-

Ri made "chik'n" pot pie ((soooo yummmy!!!) ,mashed potatoes, and biscuits- and his mom made cornbread and cake.
we had a really nice time. She gave Rory cats too!- furreal friends white tigers- they respond, meow, and do everything a cat does, except eat pricey food and pee on the couch. We were worried Noobie would try to eat them, but she doesn't care about them at all.
Rory stayed up way too late.... and then I couldn't sleep. House full of sleeping people/critters and I was wide awake.

I did make some neat things with the dehydrator Friday, some raw food oatmeal cookies, a couple pizza crusts made of mostly seeds - which was great covered in satteed veggies, and another banana crepe thing. Rory did grub on the pizza yesturday...but she has seriously been a bottomless pit.
Last night she begged me to make peas, of all things.

Oh- so, I have no way to segway into this news...so I will just get right to it. I have blogged before about The story of G and if that gives you any idea, we all knew it would only be a matter of time before G kept heading in that direction and finally hit rock bottom, go to jail, and lose his kids. Well ,it happend the other day. A local thrift store called him in for an apperant DUI- when he parked too close and passed out in his truck out front with his kids in the car.. he& M made a scene that everyone in the neighborhood witnessed including sis in law(Mel)'s hubby , he was charged with neglect of the two kids they had with them, they found cokaine in his car,and a straw to use it..he has a lot of charges against him.Ri talked to him last night, he said his parents have custody of his four kids and only allowed scheduled monitored vistiation and he and M are staying in a hotel for the time being.UGH, just UGH. I am glad the children weren't hurt , I really don't know what else to say about it.

---Um...yeah.
Today was a gorgeous gorgeous day- after Lissy, and aunt flo woke me early I couldn't get back to sleep. I tried to get Lissy hooked on my new fav tv show (United states of Tara) , and she left Then, I tried to get Rory to spend sometime out side. She has a bad hangnail on her baby toe that has caused at least three freak outs( I think it is the little bit of blood she sees as much as pain, she felt better when I told her the blood was trying to make it better). I finally talked her into both shoes and picking flowers to get her out there in the beautiful spring weather.

.. but not for long at all, before she was back in the kitchen with me while I cleaned.

I think she was testing me. I hope I passed

She asked for my email adress, you know you really shouldn't give those out.

Then she started playing with her crafting sticks in her hair.. and I had an idea

(pretend my floor is cleaner and you can't see my laundry basket)

She says it is Mulan hair

One thing is for sure, things are never dull with Rory...
Well, Ri is home, Rory needs a bath and I am megacrampy. LATA
